FUN – N – FAIR (Oorja… Power of Indigenous)
On the vibrant morning of February 9, 2024, the grounds of M.K.N. Bhatia High School & Jr. College buzzed with energy as the much-anticipated Fun-N-Fair unfolded, showcasing the theme of “Oorja… Power of Indigenous.” The event, a culmination of creativity, talent, and community spirit, drew an enthusiastic response from students, parents, and faculty alike.
The festivities commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony, graced by the Guest Mr. Waseem Shaikh (Block Incharge – URC-12, Byculla, Education Department) The theme, “Oorja… Power of Indigenous,” aimed to celebrate the rich cultural diversity and heritage of India, emphasizing the strength that lies in embracing and promoting indigenous practices.
The school grounds were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors, with stalls and exhibitions reflecting the diverse traditions of different states. From traditional handicrafts to regional cuisines, each corner showcased the vibrant tapestry of India’s cultural wealth.
Various games were organized, encouraging students to participate wholeheartedly.
The exhibition showcasing the Weaves of Vows from different states of India was a thoughtful addition, allowing students and attendees to connect with the diverse cultural heritage of the nation. It’s a great way to promote cultural understanding and appreciation among the school. The Dossier on Weaves & Vows was inaugurated as well.
One of the major highlights of the fair was the “Food Fiesta” where culinary delights from different regions were available for everyone to savor. From spicy street food to traditional sweets, the Food Fiesta added a delectable dimension to the celebration, allowing attendees to experience the diverse flavors of India.
Our ex-students were also present which strengthen the event and our Alumni Platform.
The Fun-N-Fair on the theme of “Oorja… Power of Indigenous” received an overwhelming response, with both students and attendees expressing their appreciation for the unique and enriching experience. The event not only celebrated cultural diversity but also instilled a sense of pride and awareness about the importance of preserving indigenous practices.
